Every object remembers something.
Every painting asks a question.
about
Lately my practice has shifted towards intimate still lifes and figurative works, where familiar objects become quiet witnesses to memory, identity and time. Animals remain an important presence, not as subjects alone but as companions and symbols that deepen the emotional language of each piece.
Working in mixed media but primarily in oils, I build paintings through observation, intuition and careful attention to light. My aim is to create work that rewards slow looking - pieces that reveal something different each time they're encountered.
I work from my home in the Manuwatu region of New Zealand, where our beautiful surroundings inspire me daily.
Collectors of my work can be found throughout New Zealand, Australia, the United Kingdom, North America and Europe.
